A few pictures of the new house
Here are a few picturs of our house. Most of what you see will be changed in some capacity. Our projects before we move into the house include: painting the three upstairs bedrooms, hallway, bathroom, dining room and living room, putting in hardwood flooring in the bedrooms and dining room and redoing that bathroom.
The is the arcitectural masterpiece that greeted you when you entered our home. It has since been removed.
This is a view from the entrance to the kitchen/eating area. We intend to redo the kitchen at some point in the future. Curtains with attached butterflies have been removed.
Our bedroom.
The bathroom that will soon be gutted.
Living room with fireplace. (Not to be confused for a fireplace that is an insurance liability as it is purely decorative. You have to plug it in and a a fan moves over the light so it looks like it's "burning".)

We've got the house
This week has been busy with new house stuff. We had a few surprises (a leaking toilet and house of latex paint over oil) but overall we are excited to be getting the house ready so we can move in.
The floors are out of the bedrooms and the hardwoods are sitting in the garage just waiting to be made ready tomorrow. Hopefully then we can spend our energy getting this house ready to sell at the end of the month.
Here are a few pictures of the kids:

Wintertime fun
Saturday was a perfect day to play in the snow. When it first started to snow a few months back, Elijah did not like the snow AT ALL. Now he loves putting on his boots, jacket, mittens and ski pants. He especially loves putting on the scarf that I thought was mine but apparently he has decided is now his.

Why yes, that IS a tent in our living room
Trevor and Elijah successfully had their first camp out last night. Sure it was in our living room, but it was still a tent. It literally took up our entire living room. Elijah has been making a tent out of every blanket in our house for months now so it was fun to see him in a real tent.
After all the issues we've had recently with him waking up several times a night, I am happy to report that the little boy didn't wake up once. (But no, we are not going to permanently put a tent in our living room to ensure sleep-filled nights.)
