Other Elijah news
Elijah moved to a bed this week and I am happy to report that he has done it quite successfully. (Daddy will likely tell you that Mommy had a harder time than Elijah did.)
Spending the last of the nice Saturday afternoons drawing with chalk on the sidewalk.
Taking a stroll in Daddy's flip flops.
Happy birthday to Elijah
"Elijah, how old are you?"
He keeps responding by saying "six". (I'm still dealing with him being two so six is jumping the gun just a bit...)
Elijah's latest obsession is Thomas the Train. His birthday was on Tuesday and we gave him a track that kept him entertained for hours. Last night our we had a family birthday party. He was a little overwhelmed by all the people and but he certainly enjoyed all the trains that he got. He also had a good time playing with his cousin.

Blowing out the candles on his Dairy Queen icecream cake.
Elijah and William were very interested in the digger on the cake.

Rug burn
Elijah started Sunday School on Sunday. He's turning two next week so he moved up into the 2/3 class. He got to color a picture and he even made a crown that he got to wear. He was quite proud of it.
Unfortunately, as we were leaving church, the little guy took a stumble and got some serious rug burn on his face. It doesn't seem to bother him at all. Every time I look at it I have to laugh because he really did land right on his face. Poor guy.

He is still enjoying one of his favorite pastimes. Spending time cuddled up with a blanket on the couch. Who knew that a flannel blanket could bring a kid that much joy?

In the home stretch?
35 weeks...
Motivation for getting through continues to come from the end result. Elijah is so much fun right now. Of course, he is also full of energy which does lead to some exhaustion. Thank you Jesus for grandparents.

Feeding the geese at the duck pond. They will come and eat right out of his hand.

33 weeks and counting
Nothing new to report. I'm tired of being sick and tired but I've been that for a few months now.
Elijah is good. His latest is saying "I like that". (Although sometimes I think he gets that mixed up with "I lick that" as he tends to lick things after he's said it.)
Work continues to be wonderfully supportive in my pregnancy limitations. Hip hip hooray for SCU!
And my wonderful husband is continuing to work on our bathroom. We've got the paint so we may even have it painted by the end of the week.

Me and the kids

Elijah, where's the baby?
Ask Elijah where the baby is and he heads to my belly to lift up my shirt and show everyone where the baby is. Today he started kissing my belly. It's quite cute except for the fact that I'm always a little bit nervous that while he's kissing me, he'll also bite me. Takes away the cuteness just a bit.
